Introduction
My career has primarliy been a mix of product and project management, working for a number of organisations including the BBC, McCann Erickson and now Lovefilm, where I develop and deploy products to their Video on Demand service.
What makes you a good Product Manager?
The ability to marry strong technical understanding with strong usability discipline, with the experience to deliver a viable product on time.
What do you love about being a Product Manager?
The creativity and intellectual challenges that come from realising the aims of my organisation, and then seeing it in action.
What do you hate about being a Product Manager?
Not much, however I'm not a fan of cumbersome processes which restrict the freedom you need to do your job.
